Questions about cloud migration to Azure
Do you migrate virtual machines or IT infrastructure?
No. This service modernizes business applications for Azure. It does not cover moving virtual machines (VMs), servers, networks, or an organization’s wider IT environment. Those migrations belong with your infrastructure or managed IT provider.
Does application modernization mean a full rebuild?
Not always. We assess the code, frameworks, and integrations to work out which parts can be kept and which need updating. We recommend changes around what the application needs to do. A larger rebuild is scoped only when the assessment supports it.
Will the application be unavailable during the move?
A release may require planned downtime. We agree the application cutover, data checks, and rollback plan with your team and IT provider before rollout.
What affects application modernization cost and timing?
The main factors are the application’s code and dependencies, required updates, data, integrations, and testing. We assess these before estimating the modernization work. Azure hosting and any separate infrastructure work are additional costs.
Who supports the application after launch?
We agree application handover and support responsibilities before release. Ongoing application development or support can be arranged separately. Hosting administration, networks, and managed IT stay with your internal IT team or provider.
